Municipal wastes and non hazardous organic content treatment sludge are weighted at the plant enterance. Waste data is recorded and are directed to the pre-treatment unit. The pyramid shaped bulks to be forwarded to composting procedure are covered with membrances. This area wehre the bulk piles are kept is conrete grounds preparedspecifically. This piling area incorporate necessary air channels in order to aerate the piles homogenously. The areas are also equipped with percolating water channles in order to collect the leachate originating from the piles which are mixed by the work machines existing in the plant at regular weekly intervals. The dried wastes obtained from the waste by membranecovered open composting (bio-drying) process are transported to RDF plant where they are used for produciing refuse derived fuel for further energy recovery and electricty productions.
